    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about how to design Computer Supported Cooperative Work systems (CSCW) on the basis of design practice that is established in the Scandinavian model of System Design. The approach of the thesis is to develop an understanding of the design of CSCW environments through a series of case studies. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Towards Increased Use of Discrete-Event Simulation for Hospital Resource Planning

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Krisjanis Steins; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2017]

    Sammanfattning : Health care systems in many countries are experiencing a growing demand while their resources remain limited. The discrepancy between demand and capacity creates many problems – long waiting times for treatment, overcrowding in hospital wards, high workload, etc. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Transport Analytics Based on Cellular Network Signalling Data

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :David Gundlegård; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Cellular networks of today generate a massive amount of signalling data. A large part of this signalling is generated to handle the mobility of subscribers and contains location information that can be used to fundamentally change our understanding of mobility patterns. 5. 5. The Informed Gaze On the Implications of ICT-Based Surveillance

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University

    Författare :Baki Cakici; Stockholms universitet.; SICS.; [2013]

    Sammanfattning : Information and communication technologies are not value-neutral. I examine two domains, public health surveillance and sustainability, in five papers covering: (i) the design and development of a software package for computer-assisted outbreak detection; (ii) a workflow for using simulation models to provide policy advice and a list of challenges for its practice; (iii) an analysis of design documents from three smart home projects presenting intersecting visions of sustainability; (iv) an analysis of EU-financed projects dealing with sustainability and ICT; (v) an analysis of the consequences of design choices when creating surveillance technologies.
