21. Characterization of antibody specificity using peptide array technologies
Sammanfattning : Antibodies play an important role in the natural immune response to invading pathogens. The strong and specific binding to their antigens also make them indispensable tools for research, diagnostics and therapy. LÄS MER
22. Design and Synthesis of Angiotensin IV Peptidomimetics Targeting the Insulin-Regulated Aminopeptidase (IRAP)
Sammanfattning : Peptidomimetics derived from the bioactive hexapeptide angiotensin IV (Ang IV, Val1-Tyr2-Ile3-His4-Pro5-Phe6) have been designed and synthesized. These peptidomimetics are aimed at inhibiting the insulin-regulated amino peptidase (IRAP), also known as the AT4 receptor. LÄS MER
23. Probing Dynamics of Oligosaccharides by Interference Phenomena in NMR Relaxation
Sammanfattning : Oligosaccharides (carbohydrates) are a large class of biological molecules that are important as energy sources in the human body and have enormously varied biological functions. It is generally believed that biological activities of carbohydrates are related to their internal dynamics. LÄS MER
24. Non-ionic block copolymers and proteins at the air-water interface
Sammanfattning : The behavior of block copolymer and protein films at interfaces is of central importance to their function in many application areas. Poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO-PPO-PEO) block copolymers function e.g. LÄS MER
25. Theoretical Studies of Anti-cancer Drug Tamoxifen and Estrogen Receptor Alpha
Sammanfattning : For decades tamoxifen (TAM) has been widely used for treatment of breast cancer by mediating mainly the estrogen receptor α (ERα) signaling pathways, whereby it suppresses estrogen stimulated cancer cell growth. The clinical response of TAM has been linked to cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6), which is the main isoform responsible for the conversion of TAM to the active metabolites 4-hydroxyTAM (OHT) and endoxifen.
