21. A Study On Factor Influencing the Microstructure and Shrinkage Porosity Formation in Compacted Graphite Iron
Sammanfattning : During the last decades, an intensive effort has been dedicated to introduce compacted graphite iron (CGI) for truck engine components as its intermediate graphite morphology provides an increased tensile property compared to lamellar cast iron (LGI) and a better thermal conductivity compared to nodular cast iron (SGI). However, the narrow production technology window in this cast iron grade requires increased technological discipline. LÄS MER
22. Effect of virulence factors on survival strategies of vibrio cholerae and vibrio mimicus
Sammanfattning : Vibrio is a genus of gram-negative bacteria comprising nearly 70 species and they are clinically human pathogens that can cause many infections. This study is mainly based on two species such as Vibrio cholerae O1 El Tor, which cause cholera disease and Vibrio mimicus, that cause gastroenteritis, open wounds infection, and septicemia. LÄS MER
23. Biodiversity in Agricultural Landscapes: Landscape and Scale-Dependent Effects of Organic Farming
Sammanfattning : Declines in the distribution and abundance of many farmland species during recent decades have been attributed to agricultural intensification. Agri-environment schemes are commonly used in Europe to reduce this loss of farmland biodiversity, but their effectiveness may depend on several external factors. LÄS MER
24. Genetic variation and sexual reproduction in a moss with dwarf males, Homalothecium lutescens
Sammanfattning : Dwarf males occur in many unrelated groups of organisms. Among land plants they are unique to mosses. Moss dwarf males originate from male spores that land and germinate on the female where their final size is restricted to a few mm. Fertilization in mosses occur over short distances with swimming spermatozoids. LÄS MER
25. Nest-site attendance and foraging ecology of the Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus glacialis) on the Faroe Islands. Is the Northern Fulmar a useful indicator of ecosystem productivity and pollution?
Sammanfattning : The Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus glacialis) is one of the most abundant seabirds in the Northern Hemisphere and the most abundant seabird on the Faroe Islands. Except from a few sporadic observations up until the 1950´s no study has focused on this species on the Faroe Islands. LÄS MER
