   Sammanfattning : The 1860 Swedish legislation on religion finally brought an end to the hitherto prevailing unified view on the church and the state in Sweden. The church and the state were from now on marked out as separate units. This took place primarily through the abolition of defection from the Evangelical-Lutheran faith as a criminal offence.    Sammanfattning : The Chronica regni Gothorum is the first Latin national history of Sweden. Completed after 1471 by a canon of Uppsala, Ericus Olai, it testifies to the articulation at the Swedish arch see of the dominant political issues of the day: the status of the Swedish realm in the union with Denmark-Norway, and the relations between the king, aristocracy and ecclesiastical leadership.    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the Romanian Orthodox poet, director of the journal G�ndirea, and theologian, Nichifor Crainic (1889-1972), and with the two over-arching ecclesiological themes in his writings between 1922 and 1944 ? the pancosmic Church and specificul rom�nesc (the particularity of Romanian identity). Though these are fundamentally related to each other, there are many tensions between them, as the relationship between local and particular identity and pancosmic universality is worked out against the complex political backdrop of 20-th century Romania.    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a contribution to the scholarly debate on how African Independent Churches (AICs) relate to outside partners. It is a case study from the perspective of the periphery of Ethiopia, which explains the origins of the Mekane Yesus Church in Kambata Hadiya The diachronic structure of the study with a focus from 1944 to 1975 highlights how a group of Christians reacted to cultural pressure and formed a local independent church, the Kambata Evangelical Church 2 (KEC-2).
