1. Recharging Future Mobility : Understanding Digital Anticipatory UX through Car Ethnographies
Sammanfattning : Cars have created many positive experiences for people by providing them freedom of mobility, exciting driving thrills and status in society. However, cars are also known to create problems such as pollution, traffic congestion and accidents. LÄS MER
2. Investigating anticipatory behaviours in lambs
Sammanfattning : Many animals kept by humans receive cues that predict future events for example food or being let out. The interval between cue and future event may however be delayed. In the best of worlds, animals may not experience such waiting as negative and it is even suggested that the anticipation following such cues is experienced as pleasurable. LÄS MER
3. Scenarios we live by : Theorizing anticipatory practices for societal security
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores and theorizes practices for generating knowledge and experience of possible futures in the present. Often, our unreflected everyday actions are clearly focused on the future. LÄS MER
4. Evolutionary Materialism: Towards a Theory of Anticipatory Adaptive Assemblages
Sammanfattning : This thesis is an investigation into how meta-heuristic multi-objective optimisation processes (genetic algorithms driven by evolutionary solvers) can bring about materials-related advantages in architectural performance. It redefines the architect’s and engineer’s role from being designers of a singular space or structure to being designers of entire species of spaces, and discusses a particular method – anticipatory adaptive assemblages (AAA) – that allows such processes to produce many generations of design iterations that eventually yield individuals optimised for a set of predefined objectives. 5. Cognitive functions in drivers with brain injury : Anticipation and adaption
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to improve the understanding of what cognitive functions are important for driving performance, investigate the impact of impaired cognitive functions on drivers with brain injury, and study adaptation strategies relevant for driving performance after brain injury. Finally, the predictive value of a neuropsychological test battery was evaluated for driving performance. LÄS MER
