16. Molecular Recognition Materials Synthesized Based on Small molecules, DNA, and Imprinted Polymers for Bioanalytical Applications
Sammanfattning : The development of sensitive, convenient, and cost-effective methods for detecting disease biomarkers is very important for meeting the growing demand for early clinical diagnosis. Additionally, the detection of disease biomarkers at ultralow concentrations is very important for disease prevention and treatment and posttreatment rehabilitation. LÄS MER
17. Differential Magnetic Biosensor using HTS SQUID Gradiometer
Sammanfattning : A fundamental tool for containing an epidemic outbreak and mitigating its effects is early diagnostics. Currently, most of the diagnostic tests are performed by trained staff in centralized labs, which are expensive and time-consuming to establish and operate. Lack of access to such facilities could have devastating effects. LÄS MER
18. Characterization and analysis of the astrometric errors in the global astrometric solution for Gaia
Sammanfattning : The space astrometry mission Gaia, planned for launch in 2013 by the European Space Agency (ESA), will provide the most comprehensive and accurate catalogue of astrometric data for galactic and astrophysical research in the coming decades. It will observe roughly one billion stars, quasars and other point like objects for which the five astrometric parameters (position, parallax and proper motion) will be determined. LÄS MER
19. Wind and Wood : Affordances of Musical Instruments: The Example of the Simple-System Flute
Sammanfattning : The aim of this doctoral dissertation is to explore and describe the relationship and interaction between musicians and their instruments. In order to achieve a high level of detail, a certain instrument is in focus: the simple-system flute. LÄS MER
20. Evaluation of a Miniaturized Rotating Disk Apparatus for In Vitro Dissolution Rate Measurements in Aqueous Media : Correlation of In Vitro Dissolution Rate with Apparent Solubility
Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis was to evaluate a newly designed and constructed miniaturized rotating disk apparatus for in vitro dissolution rate measurements of different drug substances from all of the classes in the Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS). The new equipment is based on a low volume flow-through cell of Plexiglas, a gold plated magnetic bar and a special designed press. LÄS MER
