  1. 1. Pharmacometric Investigations of Prediction Precision and Advances of Models for Composite Scale Data

    Författare :Gustaf Wellhagen; Maria C. Kjellsson; Bengt Hamrén; Per Olsson Gisleskog; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; pharmacometrics; modelling; non-linear mixed effects modelling; composite scale data; total score data; total score analysis; precision prediction; bounded integer; bounded integer model; IRT-informed total score analysis; item response theory-informed; mixed models for repeated measures; MMRM; dose-response; dose-response mixed models for repeated measures; DR-MMRM; HbA1c models; fit-for-purpose analysis; clinical trial analysis; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Clinical trials are needed to evaluate new treatments. In late-stage clinical trials, failures are mostly due to lack of efficacy. Fit-for-purpose analysis methods will likely increase the success rates and advance drug development by providing higher precision to support decisions such as go/no-go, dose selection, or sample size. 2. 2. Safeguarding from surgical site infections : A mutual responsibility between the patient, caregiver and the perioperative healthcare leaders

    Författare :Maria Qvistgaard; Sofia Almerud Österberg; Peller Gustafson; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Operating Room; Perioperative care; Prevention; Qualitative content analysis; Reflective lifeworld research; Surgical site infection; Operating room nurse; Teamwork; Health and Caring Sciences; Hälsovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis is to describe and explore preventive measuresand risks for surgical site infections.Methods: Study I, a registry based and observational design study, includes 35 056cases analysed for risks for reoperation caused by periprosthetic joint infection afterelective total hip arthroplasty. 3. 3. Urbanised Nature in the Past : Site formation and Environmental Developement in Two Swedish Towns, AD 1200-1800

    Författare :Jens Heimdahl; Ann-Marie Robertsson; Jane Sidell; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Urban stratigraphy; environmental reconstruction; site formation; geoarchaeology; dark earth; macrofossil analysis; Quaternary geology; Kvartärgeologi;

    Sammanfattning : In order to explore site formations and reconstruct environmental development in Medieval and Post-Medieval towns, urban occupational strata in Norrköping and Karlstad were studied according to biostratigraphy, sedimentology and pedology. New field procedures including continuous pilot sampling, parallel archaeological and geological stratigraphic interpretation, and on-site analysis of plant macrofossils were developed and applied at archaeological excavations in both towns. 4. 4. Construction site productivity measurements : selection, application and evaluation of methods and measures

    Författare :Jan Jonsson; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Construction Engineering and Management; Byggproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : A construction company consists of a number of different sites where the physical production is taking place. This production is not always performed in the best possible way. There are numerous things such as organisation, logistics, co-ordination, technique, quality and others that can be improved. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Methodology for Identifying Transformation Pathways for Industrial Process Clusters: Toward Increased Energy Efficiency and Renewable Feedstock

    Författare :Roman Hackl; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; process integration; district heating; energy efficiency; biorefinery; total site analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The European process industry is facing major challenges. Modern, large-scale production facilities in other parts of the world are often more efficient. Furthermore, limited access to inexpensive shale gas from North America has led to an additional disadvantage for the European industry. LÄS MER
