  1. 1. Pharmacometric Investigations of Prediction Precision and Advances of Models for Composite Scale Data

    Författare :Gustaf Wellhagen; Maria C. Kjellsson; Bengt Hamrén; Per Olsson Gisleskog; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; pharmacometrics; modelling; non-linear mixed effects modelling; composite scale data; total score data; total score analysis; precision prediction; bounded integer; bounded integer model; IRT-informed total score analysis; item response theory-informed; mixed models for repeated measures; MMRM; dose-response; dose-response mixed models for repeated measures; DR-MMRM; HbA1c models; fit-for-purpose analysis; clinical trial analysis; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Clinical trials are needed to evaluate new treatments. In late-stage clinical trials, failures are mostly due to lack of efficacy. Fit-for-purpose analysis methods will likely increase the success rates and advance drug development by providing higher precision to support decisions such as go/no-go, dose selection, or sample size. 2. 2. A perfect score : Validity arguments for college admission tests

    Författare :Per-Erik Lyrén; Christina Stage; Marie Wiberg; Simon Wolming; Stephen G. Sireci; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :college admission tests; SweSAT; validity; interpretive arguments; predictive validity; equating; item revisions; subscores;

    Sammanfattning : College admission tests are of great importance for admissions systems in general and for candidates in particular. The SweSAT (Högskoleprovet in Swedish) has been used for college admission in Sweden for more than 30 years, and today it is alongside with the upper-secondary school GPA the most widely used instrument for selection of college applicants. 3. 3. Foundation of Multi-Criteria Quality Scoring

    Författare :Maria Ulan; Anna Wingkvist; Harald Störrle; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Data- och informationsvetenskap; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : Software quality becomes more critical as our dependence on software increases. We need better quality assessment than ever. Comparison and ranking of software artifacts, detection of bad or good quality are important tasks for quality assessment.Software quality models are widely used to support quality assessment. 4. 4. Forensic taphonomy in an indoor setting : Implications for estimation of the post-mortem interval

    Författare :Ann-Sofie Ceciliason; Ingemar Thiblin; Håkan Sandler; M. Gunnar Andersson; Anders Lindström; Niels Lynnerup; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Forensic taphonomy; Indoor setting; Post-mortem interval estimation; Hepatic decomposition score; Total body score; microbial neoformation; Rättsmedicin; Forensic Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to determine if and how taphonomic data can be used to expand our knowledge concerning the decompositional process in an indoor setting, as well as adapting scoring-based methods for quantification of human decomposition, to increase the precision of post-mortem interval (PMI) estimates.In the first paper, the established methods of Total Body Score (TBS) and Accumulated Degree-Days (ADD) were investigated in an indoor setting, with results indicating a fairly low precision. 5. 5. Anatomic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction - aspects of surgical technique

    Författare :Neel Desai; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Knee; Anterior cruciate ligament; Anatomic; Double-bundle; Single-bundle; Laxity; Register; AARSC; Score; Graft failure; Revision; Outcome;

    Sammanfattning : Anatomic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a concept that has gained in interest and it aims to more effectively restore native ACL anatomy and function. Despite extensive research on the topic, the optimal surgical technique to accomplish this is still the subject of debate. LÄS MER
