1. Heating of buildings from a system perspective
Sammanfattning : Energy efficiency measures in buildings are considered to have great potential for reducing total energy use, and contribute to a reduced climate and environmental impact. In Sweden, however, there is a focus on bought energy, which does not always reflect the environmental and climate impact. LÄS MER
2. The impact on the energy system of heating demands in buildings : A case study on district heating and electricity for heating in Falun, Sweden

3. Space in motion : the art of activating space in-between
Sammanfattning : As a contribution to the emerging field of practice-based research in the arts, this thesis aims to activate space, experience and the concept in-between. As the in-between cannot be defined ahead of the rhythmic process it carries out and of which it is a part – a rhythm inherent in the city itself and in knowledge production – it is necessary to produce rhythmic relations between bodies, sites and concepts. 4. Characterization methods and modelling for Li-ion batteries: entropy, impedance, pressure, diffusivity & temperature swings induced aging
Sammanfattning : Lithium-ion batteries are commonly used for energy storage systems, and temperature is one key impact factor on the cell performance and lifetime. In literature, the focus has been on the ambient temperature of the test condition, and there is little discussion about how the temperature swing during cycling affects the battery lifetime. LÄS MER
5. Effect of timing training in golf and soccer players : skill, movement organization, and brain activity
Sammanfattning : Background Although trainers and athletes consider ‘good timing skills’ to be critical for optimal sport performance, little is known in regard to how sport-specific skills may benefit from timing training. Thus, assuming that all motor performances are mediated by an internal timing mechanism, enhanced motor timing is expected to have positive effects on both planning and execution of movement performance, and consequently on complex sports actions as golf or soccer.
