    Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the materiality of Early Modern Spanish poetry and particularly that of Luis de Góngora (1561-1627). Its purpose is to focus on physical and concrete aspects in order to create new knowledge of the past. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Nonionic surfactants : A multivariate study

    Författare :Lise-Lott Uppgård; Michael Sjöström; Svante Wold; Jiri Damborsky; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; AEO; APG; aquatic toxicity; cellulose reactivity; Fock; MLR; multivariate data analysis; nonionic surfactant; PCA; physicochemical properties; PLS; QSAR; surface activity; viscose; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis technical nonionic surfactants are studied using multivariate techniques. The surfactants studied were alkyl ethoxylates (AEOs) and alkyl polyglucosides (APGs). The aquatic toxicity of the surfactants towards two organisms, a shrimp and a rotifer, was examined. The specified effect was lethality, LC50, as indicated by immobilisation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Nanotribology, Surface Interactions and Characterization : An AFM Study

    Författare :Rubén Álvarez-Asencio; Mark W. Rutland; Suzanne Giasson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : When two surfaces achieve contact, then contact phenomena such as adhesion, friction and wear can occur, which are of great interest in many disciplines, including physics, physical chemistry, material chemistry, and life and health sciences. These phenomena are largely determined by the nature and magnitude of the surface forces such as van der Waals, capillary and hydration forces. LÄS MER
