1. ## 1. Numerical and Experimental study of shock boundary layer interaction in unsteady transonic flow

Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Energiteknik

Sammanfattning : A prerequisite for aeroelastic stability prediction inturbomachines is the understanding of the fluctuatingaerodynamic forces acting on the blades. Unsteady transonicflows are complex because of mutual interactions betweentravelling pressure waves, outlet disturbances, shock motion, and fluctuating turbulent boundary layers. LÄS MER

2. ## 2. Assessment and Some Improvements of Hybrid RANS-LES Methods

Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Energiteknik

Sammanfattning : Motivated by numerical analysis of a shock/boundary-layer interacting (SBLI) flow in a duct, where some typical existing hybrid RANS-LES methods become awkward to give accurate predictions of the shock-induced corner separation bubble, a new hybrid RANS-LES method, has been proposed. The model is based on a low-Reynolds-number (LRN) $k-\omega$ RANS model, which is one of the few models that are capable of giving reasonable predictions for the SBLI flow in RANS computations. 3. ## 3. Large Eddy Simulations of Separated Compressible Flows around Wing Sections

Detta är en avhandling från Department of Heat and Power Engineering, Lund university

Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns numerical calculations of compressible separated flows, with and without shocks, around wing sections using Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The considered geometries are the NACA 0012 wing section and the ONERA AT15A wing section. LÄS MER

4. ## 4. Numerical Computations of Internal Combustion Engine related Transonic and Unsteady Flows

Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH

Sammanfattning : Vehicles with internal combustion (IC) engines fueled by hydrocarbon compounds have been used for more than 100 years for ground transportation. During the years and in particular in the last decade, the environmental aspects of IC engines have become a major political and research topic. LÄS MER
