  1. 16. Side-Channel Analysis of Post-Quantum Cryptographic Algorithms

    Författare :Kalle Ngo; Johnny Öberg; Ingo Sander; Elena Dubrova; Lejla Batina; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Side-channel attack; Post-quantum cryptography; Deep learning; LWE LWR-based KEM; Hardware security; Sidokanalsattack; Postkvantkryptering; Djupinlärning; LWE LWR-baserad KEM; Hårdvarusäkerhet; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Public key cryptographic schemes used today rely on the intractability of certain mathematical problems that are known to be efficiently solvable with a large-scale quantum computer. To address the need for long-term security, in 2016 NIST started a project for standardizing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) primitives that rely on problems not known to be targets for a quantum computer, such as lattice problems. 2. 17. Does speed matter? : the impact of the EU membership incentive on rule adoption in minority language rights protection

    Författare :Anna Parkhouse; Carsten Anckar; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Hälsa och välfärd; Health and Welfare;

    Sammanfattning : Denna avhandling tar sin utgångspunkt i ett ifrågasättande av effektiviteten i EU:s konditionalitetspolitik avseende minoritetsrättigheter. Baserat på den rationalistiska teoretiska modellen, External Incentives Model of Governance, syftar denna hypotesprövande avhandling till att förklara om tidsavståndet på det potentiella EU medlemskapet påverkar lagstiftningsnivån avseende minoritetsspråksrättigheter. 3. 18. Preparedness for mass-casualty attacks on public transportation

    Författare :Annelie Holgersson; Ulf Björnstig; Britt-Inger Saveman; Dzenan Sahovic; Per Örtenwall; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; antagonism; disaster medicine; emergency response; emergency organizations; mass transit; preparedness; rescue work; security; terrorism; kirurgi; Surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Public transportation constitutes a vulnerable sector in modern day society with a high probability of generating mass casualties if attacked. By preparing for mass-casualty attacks (MCAs), response can become more effective and public transportation can become a less rewarding target. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Modelling the Variability of Bending Strength in Structural Timber - Length and Load Configuration Effects

    Författare :Tord Isaksson; Avdelningen för Konstruktionsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; code; reliability-based design; Weibull; test standard; load configuration effect; length effect; weak section; machine grading; visual grading; variability; Structural timber; bending strength; simulation; monte carlo simulation.; Building construction; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The load carrying capacity of a beam of structural timber is dependent both on the span of the beam and the type of loading. The longer the beam and the more uniform the moment distribution, the lower the load carrying capacity. This phenomenon is due to the variability of material properties within a piece of timber. 5. 20. Statistical Modelling of Cell Cycle Dynamics Analysis and Interpretation of BrdUrd DNA FCM-Derived Data

    Författare :Sara Larsson Lönn; Matematisk statistik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; G2 phase duration; DNA replication; flow cytometry; Natural science; Naturvetenskap; S phase duration; DNA distribution; branching processes; cell cycle kinetics;

    Sammanfattning : It it of great importance to increase the knowledge of various cell cycle kinetic parameters and the objective of this thesis is to use stochastic models to interpret Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdUrd) DNA Flow Cytometry (FCM) derived data in order to estimate such parameters. The cell cycle is the process of growth and division that is essential for an organism to increase in size. LÄS MER
