Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease, affecting approximately 0.5 to 1% of the adult population. Although the aetiology is not fully known, a complex interaction between genetic, environmental and stochastic factors is thought to trigger the pathogenic mechanisms. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease that leads to degradation of cartilage and bone mainly in peripheral joints. In collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), a mouse model for RA, activation of autoimmune CD4+ T cells depends on a molecular recognition system where T-cell receptors (TCRs) recognize a complex between the class II MHC Aq protein and CII259-273, a glycopeptide epitope from type II collagen (CII). Sammanfattning : Biologic therapies have revolutionized the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, a common chronic inflammatory disease, mainly characterized by the chronic inflammation of the joints. The activity and progression of the disease are highly variable, both between subjects and between the successive assessments for the same subject. LÄS MER
