  1. 36. Multi-Electron Coincidence Studies of Atoms and Molecules

    Författare :Egil Andersson; Raimund Feifel; Jan-Erik Rubensson; Kiyoshi Ueda; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; multi-ionization; electron emission; time-of-flight spectroscopy; coincidence spectroscopy; core-valence ionization; synchrotron radiation; electron correlation; Atomic and molecular physics; Atom- och molekylfysik; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns multi-ionization coincidence measurements of atoms and small molecules using a magnetic bottle time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer designed for multi-electron coincidence studies. Also, a time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been used together with the TOF electron  spectrometer for electron-ion coincidence measurements. LÄS MER

  2. 37. Non-conformal gauge/string duality : A rigorous case study

    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; AdS CFT correspondence; holographic principle; supersymmetric localization; Wilson Loops; Theoretical Physics; Teoretisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The gauge/string duality, a.k.a. the holographic principle is a profound assertion that emerged from string theory. LÄS MER

  3. 38. Perturbative Methods in General Relativity

    Författare :Daniel Eriksson; Michael Bradley; Gert Brodin; Lászlo Árpád Gergely; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; General relativity; perturbation theory; photon-photon scattering; cosmology; FRW models with cosmological constant; Bianchi type V; slowly rotating stars; Hartle formalism; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Einstein's theory of general relativity is a cornerstone in the process of gaining increased understanding about problems of gravitational nature. It can be applied to problems on the huge length scales of cosmology and as far as we know it does not break down before the Planck scale is approached. LÄS MER

  4. 39. Interfaces in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Studied with Photoelectron Spectroscopy at Elevated Pressures

    Författare :Susanna Kaufmann Eriksson; Anders Hagfeldt; Håkan Rensmo; Erik Johansson; Joachim Schnadt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dye-sensitized solar cells; interfaces; solvation; photoelectron spectroscopy; HPXPS; HP-HAXPES; liquid jet; Chemistry with specialization in Physical Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : With an increasing demand for renewable energy sources, research efforts on different solar cell technologies are increasing rapidly. The dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) is one such technology, taking advantage of light absorption in dye molecules. LÄS MER

  5. 40. Surfaces and interfaces of low dimensional III-V semiconductor devices

    Författare :Yen-Po Liu; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; III-V semiconductor; nanowires; nanosheet; nano-device fabrication; STM; AFM; SGM; OBIC; XPS; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:Liu;

    Sammanfattning : The demand for fast and energy efficient (opto-)electronic applications needs high mobility semiconductor materials, such as InAs with a very high electron mobility and GaSb with a very high hole mobility. Beyond the material itself, also an innovative device geometry is needed, for example, the gate-all-around geometry that provides higher efficiency and electrostatic control for computational units.
