    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns multi-ionization coincidence measurements of atoms and small molecules using a magnetic bottle time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer designed for multi-electron coincidence studies. Also, a time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been used together with the TOF electron  spectrometer for electron-ion coincidence measurements. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Ten studies, using the methods of quantum chemistry to study transition metal clusters and surfaces, are presented. The effect of including correlation between the core and valence-electrons are studied, both with an approximative operator and with the core-electrons explicitly correlated. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on studies of multiple ionization of atoms and molecules induced by the absorption of a single photon. For the experimental investigations a time-of-flight magnetic bottle spectrometer has been used to detect the emitted electrons in coincidence. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning :   The present thesis is based upon two papers concerning the core-valence double onization of molecular oxygen and mutual neutralization of H+ and H- ions at low collision energies. The former of these processes has been studied for the first time using a magnetic bottle time-of-ight electron coincidence spectrometer in combination with ab initio electronic structure calculations.
