  1. 1. Platforms in Liquid Modernity : Essays about the Sharing Economy, Digital Platforms, and Institutions

    Författare :Andrea Geissinger; Christina Öberg; Christofer Laurell; Christian Sandström; Robin Teigland; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; sharing economy; digital platforms; institutional theory; institutional logics; social ordering; Social Media Analytics; community; liquid modernity; interregnum; in-betweenness;

    Sammanfattning : The year 2020 feels like the beginning of a crescendo of change. As environmental and social challenges reach an all-time high, the organization of our societies is coming under scrutiny. We, as a society, turn to technology to reinvent the organization of social life after disruptive episodes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Supporting long-term production development : Towards production platforms

    Författare :Simon Boldt; Carin Rösiö; Gary Linnéusson; Lennart Malmsköld; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; production development; production platforms; long-term; perspective; changeability; integrated product and production development; manufacturing; produktionsutveckling; produktionsplattformar; långsiktigt perspektiv; förändringsbarhet; integrerad produkt och produktionsutveckling; tillverkning;

    Sammanfattning : With shrinking product life cycles and increasing competitive pressure, the traditional way of developing production systems is becoming obsolete. A longer-term perspective that considers the stream of product realisation projects to be implemented in the production system over its lifetime is required. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On the use of platforms for product–service solutions

    Författare :Siri Jagstedt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; product–service solutions; customisation; platforms; servitization; architecture; solutions development;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to identify and describe factors influencing the use of platforms for product–service solutions. Briefly put, product–service solutions are combinations of products and services integrated and customised to address customers’ overall needs. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Robust Platforms for Superconductivity : Disorder Robustness and Topological Density of States Peaks

    Författare :Tomas Löthman; Annica M. Black-Schaffer; Carsten Honerkamp; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Superconductivity; Odd-Frequency Superconductivity; Nematic superconductivity; Topological Phases of Matter; Flat bands; Van Hove Singularity; Graphene; Twisted Bilayer Graphene; Rhombohedral graphite; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : We explore the connection between robust material platforms for superconductivity and the modern condensed matter physics paradigms of two-dimensional materials, topological states of matter, and odd-frequency superconductivity. Specifically, the recent discoveries of gapless topological matter and truly two-dimensional materials with graphene have greatly expanded the class of materials for which topology produces large, robust, even singular, density of states (DOS) peaks in the electronic structure that in turn are highly susceptible to new ordered states of matter, including superconductivity. 5. 5. Software Concerns for Execution on Heterogeneous Platforms

    Författare :Hugo Sica de Andrade; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Software Architecture; Heterogeneous Platforms; Software Deployment; Interprocess Communication;

    Sammanfattning : Context: Heterogeneous computing, i.e., computing performed on different types of execution units, such as CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, has shown to be a feasible path towards higher performance and less energy consumption. Heterogeneous platforms are specialized on specific types of computation, e. LÄS MER
