6. Constructing and Commissioning HELIOS – A High Harmonic Generation Source for Pump-Probe Measurements with sub 50 fs Temporal Resolution : The Development of Experimental Equipment for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents HELIOS, an in-house laboratory for time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy with extreme-ultraviolet (XUV) probe radiation. A wide span of pump wavelengths can be generated using commercial laser equipment while XUV probe radiation is generated via a high harmonic generation process in a noble gas delivering probe photons with energies between 20 eV and 72 eV. 7. Investigation of acoustic source characterisation and installation effects for small axial fans
Sammanfattning : Fans are often used in equipment such as home appliances andelectronic equipment where the margin of profit is small butcustomers demands on a low noise level are high. Therefore, methods for predicting the noise emitted by an applicationincluding one or several fans are desirable in order toimprove, accelerate and reduce the cost of low-noise design. LÄS MER
8. Control and Rent-Seeking: The Role of the State in the Thai Cassava Industry
Sammanfattning : What we can conclude from this study is that the state and the market are not perfect substitutes in allocating resources and sustaining economic development separately. The case of the Thai cassava industry seems to suggest that the Thai state is not benevolent, but predatory in nature. LÄS MER
9. Coal, commerce and communism : Empirical studies on energy history in the Czech Republic
Sammanfattning : This thesis employs an international comparative perspective to empirically analyse the Czech energy transition between 1830 and 2010. It addresses the utilization of energy in shaping modern economic growth through structural and technological change and the implications of those changes on specialization and foreign trade. LÄS MER
10. Lateral Model Predictive Control for Autonomous Heavy-Duty Vehicles : Sensor, Actuator, and Reference Uncertainties
Sammanfattning : Autonomous vehicle technology is shaping the future of road transportation. This technology promises safer, greener, and more efficient means of transportation for everyone. LÄS MER
