31. Model Calibration of Nonlinear Mechanical Systems Using Multi-Harmonic Frequency Response Functions
Sammanfattning : In industry, linear finite element models are commonly employed to represent global structural behavior. It is crucial that the computational models are able to accurately represent the structures’ behavior. This cannot always be achieved by the use of linear models. LÄS MER
32. Nonlinear Model Predictive Control for Autonomous Vehicles
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we consider the problem of designing and implementing Model Predictive Controllers (MPC) for stabilizing the dynamics of an autonomous ground vehicle. For such a class of systems, the non-linear dynamics and the fast sampling time limit the real-time implementation of MPC algorithms to local and linear operating regions. LÄS MER
33. Model calibration methods for mechanical systems with local nonlinearities
Sammanfattning : Most modern product development utilizes computational models. With increasing demands on reducing the product development lead-time, it becomes more important to improve the accuracy and efficiency of simulations. LÄS MER
34. Model Order Reduction with Rational Krylov Methods
Sammanfattning : Rational Krylov methods for model order reduction are studied. A dual rational Arnoldi method for model order reduction and a rational Krylov method for model order reduction and eigenvalue computation have been implemented. It is shown how to deflate redundant or unwanted vectors and how to obtain moment matching. LÄS MER
35. Model-Based Optimization of Combustion-Engine Control
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis is motivated by the need to reliably operate a compression-ignition engine in a partially premixed combustion (PPC) mode. Partially premixed combustion is a low temperature combustion concept, where the ignition delay is prolonged to enhance fuel-air mixing in the combustion chamber before the start of combustion.
