36. Biostratigraphy and Systematics of Cambrian Small Shelly Fossils from East Antarctica and South Australia
Sammanfattning : The remote lower Cambrian Byrd group of sedimentary rocks from East Antarctica has been studied intermittently since its discovery over a century ago. Previous insights into the trilobites and archaeocyaths indicated a close correlation to the sedimentary sequences of South Australia. LÄS MER
37. Artificial recharge of groundwater for public water supply : potential and limitations on boreal conditions
Sammanfattning : It is motivated by the intentions of Agenda 21 to findalternatives to the increasing dependence on chemical treatmentin the production of public water. Conventional waterworkscommonly include chemicals for removal of organic compounds, for reduction of corrosiveness and for disinfection. LÄS MER
38. Mineral element contents in drinking water - aspects on quality and potential links to human health
Sammanfattning : Mineral elements in drinking water have been in focus for more than a decade, especially as the habit of drinking bottled water has increased, not the least among young people. Minerals in drinking water have become more important since minerals in food, especially in vegetables, have decreased substantially the last decades. LÄS MER
39. Organic acids in root exudates and soil solutions. Importance to calcicole and calcifuge behaviour of plants
Sammanfattning : Many vascular plant species are unable to colonise calcareous sites, the floristic composition of adjacent limestone and acid silicate soils differing markedly. The inability of these 'calcifuge' species to establish themselves and grow on limestone soil appears to mainly be related to their low capacity for solubilising and absorbing phosphate and/or iron from such soils. 40. Stratigraphy and Geochemistry of the Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier, north-eastern Bergslagen region, central Sweden
Sammanfattning : The Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier is situated in the north-eastern Bergslagen region. The inlier consists of primary and reworked volcanic deposits, stromatolitic limestone and skarn that have been subjected to upper greenschist facies metamorphism. LÄS MER
