1. Stratigraphy and Geochemistry of the Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier, north-eastern Bergslagen region, central Sweden
Sammanfattning : The Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier is situated in the north-eastern Bergslagen region. The inlier consists of primary and reworked volcanic deposits, stromatolitic limestone and skarn that have been subjected to upper greenschist facies metamorphism. LÄS MER
2. Geochemistry of tin, tungsten and molybdenum in Swedish Proterozoic granitoids : its potential use in regional mineral exploration
Sammanfattning : The primary aim of this broad regional study is to statistically determine the Li-Sn-W-Mo-bearing potential of various granitoids using geochemical criteria.Computer-based, univariate and multivariate statistical methods are applied to major and trace element data from ca 660 granitic rock samples and over 800 major element analyses, selected from the Swedish geological literature. 3. The genetic relationship between rhyolitic volcanism and Zn-Cu-Au deposits in the Maurliden volcanic centre, Skellefte district, Sweden : volcanic facies, lithogeochemistry and geochronology
Sammanfattning : The Skellefte district is one of three major ore provinces in Sweden and contains more than 80 Zn-Cu-Au-Ag massive sulphide deposits. The Maurliden area in the central part of the district represents a subaqueous, constructional and relatively topographic high silicic volcanic centre. LÄS MER
4. Utilizing a tectonic framework to constrain the mineral system and remobilization in the Kiruna mining district, Sweden
Sammanfattning : The Kiruna mining district, located in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden, is a geologically and economically important area, being the type-locality for Kiruna iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and also host to a variety of other deposits including syngenetic stratiform exhalative Cu-(Fe-Zn) (Viscaria, Eastern Pahtohavare), epigenetic stratabound Cu ± Au (Pahtohavare), and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG, Rakkurijärvi) deposits. However, the timing of IOA versus IOCG within the tectonic evolution is in question based on structural investigations showing Cu- and Fe-sulfides occur in late-orogenic structures. LÄS MER
5. Lithostratigraphy and alteration at the Rävliden North VMS deposit, Skellefte district, Sweden
Sammanfattning : Technological and societal developments in the past century have greatly increased our society’s demand for metals, many which occur in polymetallic ores mined in the Skellefte district, northern Sweden. Near-surface deposits are becoming depleted and as such targeting of deep deposits is needed, which places special demand on effective management, processing and interpretation of geological data obtained from exploration drill holes.
