  1. 1. Stratigraphy and Geochemistry of the Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier, north-eastern Bergslagen region, central Sweden

    Författare :Peter Dahlin; Karin Högdahl; Olav Eklund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dannemora; Bergslagen region; volcaniclastic rocks; sedimentology; metasomatic alteration; lithogeochemistry; reflection seismic; Geovetenskap med inriktning mot mineralogi; petrologi och tektonik; Earth Science with specialization in Mineral Chemistry; Petrology and Tectonics;

    Sammanfattning : The Palaeoproterozoic Dannemora inlier is situated in the north-eastern Bergslagen region. The inlier consists of primary and reworked volcanic deposits, stromatolitic limestone and skarn that have been subjected to upper greenschist facies metamorphism. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Volcanic stratigraphy, chemical stratigraphy, and hydrothermal alteration of the Petiknäs South Volcanic-hosted massive sulfide deposit, Sweden

    Författare :Denis Schlatter; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The main exploration methods which have been used in the Skellefte district are prospecting for ore boulders in young glacial deposits and electrical geophysical methods. The discovery of new ores which likely are located at deep levels (>200 m), requires improved exploration methods, which in turn require a better understanding of the geology and alteration patterns of the known VMS deposits. 3. 3. On the origin and evolution of the palaeoproterozoic Aitik Cu-Au-Ag deposit, northern Sweden : a porphyry copper-gold ore, modified by multistage metamorphic-deformational, magmatic-hydrothermal, and IOCG-mineralizing events

    Författare :Christina Wanhainen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Aitik Cu-Au-Ag mine in the Gällivare area in northern Sweden is the biggest open pit operation in northern Europe and one of Europe’s largest metal producers. The open pit is almost 3 km long, 930 m wide and 345 m deep. Approximately 424 million tonnes of ore averaging 0.4% Cu, 0. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Magma generation and formation of continental crust in the Izu arc

    Författare :Haochen Duan; Abigail Barker; Jaroslaw Majka; Stefan Wastegård; Kate Saunders; Susanne M. Straub; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Oceanic arc; Izu rear-arc; Melt inlcusions; Oxygen isotopes; Boron isotopes; Continental crust; Mantle hererogeneity; In-situ microanalysis; IMS-1280; Geovetenskap med inriktning mot mineralogi; petrologi och tektonik; Earth Science with specialization in Mineral Chemistry; Petrology and Tectonics;

    Sammanfattning : The Izu oceanic arc is produced by the subduction of the Pacific Sea Plate beneath the Philippine Sea Plate. The proto-Izu oceanic arc was initially formed at ca. 50 Ma, then it was separated into the Kyushu-Palau and Izu arc by the extension of the Shikoku basin from ca. 25 Ma. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Volcanic stratigraphy and hydrothermal alteration of the Petiknäs south Zn-Pb-Cu-Au-Ag volcanic-hosted massive sulfide deposit, Sweden

    Författare :Denis Schlatter; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ore Geology; Malmgeologi;

    Sammanfattning : The Skellefte district is one of the most important mining regions in Sweden and Europe. The district contains more than 85 pyritic Zn-Cu-Au-Ag massive sulfide deposits. LÄS MER
