27. Development of strength and heat of hydration of young concrete at low temperature - influence of granulated blast furnace slag, silica and limestone
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this licentiate thesis was carried out within the project task Use of industrial by-products and filler in concrete, part Early-age strength development at low temperatures in concrete with mineral additions/fillers. To improve the understanding and to increase the data available, the study investigated the development of compressive strength and heat of hydration while curing at 5°C compared with curing at 20°C. 28. Bruk av kalk och sand ur ett hantverkligt perspektiv
Sammanfattning : Sweden has a thousand-year history of burning (calcinating) and slaking (hydrating) limestone to produce a binder for mortar and stucco. We can assume that the conditions for manufacturing such binders have varied from one part of the country to another. LÄS MER
29. Slurry rheology of industrial minerals and its effects on wet ultra-fine grinding
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates slurry rheology of industrial minerals (limestone and quartzite) and its effects on wet ultra-fine grinding in order to reduce energy cost, increase the throughput as well as the product fineness. The influences of solid concentration, molecular weight of a dispersant, and particle size and distribution on the rheological behaviour of original limestone slurries have been investigated. LÄS MER
30. The Cambrian lophotrochozoans of the Transantarctic Mountains, Antarctica
Sammanfattning : The origin of many lophotrochozoan groups can be traced to “small shelly fossil” (SSF) faunas of the Early Cambrian. Antarctica is a key region of study, due to the continent’s known close geographical proximity to well-studied Australian and Indian basins in in the Cambrian. LÄS MER
