   Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis investigates assumptions about honour that emerge in the Swedish justice system’s investigations of honour related violence and oppression during the period 1997 – 2017, and with what implications. The aim is to deepen the understanding of how the Swedish justice system manages crimes presumed to be honour related, and shed light on implications of current descriptions of these crimes as new in Swedish society.    Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines the legal status and legal framework of freedom of religion that is guaranteed in the Instrument of Government and the European Convention of Human Rights. The right to freedom of religion is defined in the second chapter in the Instrument of Government: Everyone shall be guaranteed the following rights and freedoms in his or her relations with the public institutions: freedom of worship: that is, the freedom to practise one’s religion alone or in the company of others. Several factors are critical in integrating immigrants, especially their economic security in a new country.    Sammanfattning : The overarching purpose of this study has been to problematise how visual practices and the mediation of affect is linked to the capacity to produce (new) perceptual realities, sensations and imaginaries, ultimately aiming to legitimate or counter-legitimate the hegemonic discourses and practices mobilised in the name of security. The first part of my thesis approaches this matter through an analysis of media cultures and discursive systems circulating within the court and the state military. LÄS MER
