11. Microtubule structure and function as perturbed by electromagnetic fields
12. Molecular dissection of established and proposed members of the Op18/Stathmin family of tubulin binding proteins
Sammanfattning : My initial aim was a functional analysis of the conserved Op18/stathmin family of microtubule-regulators, which includes the ubiquitous cytosolic Op18 protein and the neural membrane-attached RB3 and SCG10 proteins. The solved X-ray structure has shown that these proteins form a complex with tubulin -heterodimers via two imperfect helical repeats, which result in two head-to-tail aligned heterodimers in a tandem-tubulin complex. 13. Biological Activities of Natural and Semi-Synthetic Pseudo-Guaianolides: Inhibition of Transcription Factors
Sammanfattning : Damsin (1) is a natural sesquiterpene lactone (SL) isolated from Ambrosia arborescens Mill., a plant used in the Andes as antiinflammatory medicine. LÄS MER
14. New Paradigms in GPCR Drug Discovery : Structure Prediction and Design of Ligands with Tailored Properties
Sammanfattning : G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) constitute a large superfamily of membrane proteins with key roles in cellular signaling. Upon activation by a ligand, GPCRs transduce signals from the extracellular to the intracellular environment. LÄS MER
15. Regulation of dioxin receptor activity by phosphorylation and protein-protein interaction
Sammanfattning : The dioxin receptor together with its partner factor Arnt belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix/PAS family of transcription factors. The receptor is the mediator of the biological effects of a number of environmental pollutants such as dioxin and other related compounds. LÄS MER
