  1. 16. Spatio-temporal processing of surface electromyographic signals : information on neuromuscular function and control

    Författare :Christer Grönlund; Leif Sörnmo; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; EMG; multichannel surface electromyography; motor unit action potentials; conduction velocity; muscle architecture; signal quality; spatial distributions; synchronization; muscle function; motor control; biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap; Biomedical Radiation Science;

    Sammanfattning : During muscle contraction, electrical signals are generated by the muscle cells. The analysis of those signals is called electromyography (EMG). The EMG signal is mainly determined by physiological factors including so called central factors (central nervous system origin) and peripheral factors (muscle tissue origin). LÄS MER

  2. 17. Moisture content profiles and surface phenomena during drying of wood

    Författare :Anders Rosenkilde; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :computer tomography; diffusion; magnetic resonance; moisture measurement; moisture profiles; surface emission; wood drying;

    Sammanfattning : Timber drying is one of the most important processes whenmanufacturing sawn timber products. The drying processinfluences deformations, surface checking, discoloration andhence, the product quality and the manufacturing costs. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Nanotribology, Surface Interactions and Characterization : An AFM Study

    Författare :Rubén Álvarez-Asencio; Mark W. Rutland; Suzanne Giasson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : When two surfaces achieve contact, then contact phenomena such as adhesion, friction and wear can occur, which are of great interest in many disciplines, including physics, physical chemistry, material chemistry, and life and health sciences. These phenomena are largely determined by the nature and magnitude of the surface forces such as van der Waals, capillary and hydration forces. LÄS MER

  4. 19. On Cohesive Modelling of Carbon/Epoxy Composites : Delamination and Fibre Compressive Failure

    Författare :Daniel Svensson; Ulf Stigh; Bent Sørensen; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CFRP; Cohesive zone model; J-integral; LEFM; Delamination; Compressive failure; Technology; Teknik; Mechanics of Materials; Materialmekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers are widely used in engineering applications where weight saving and high mechanical performance are a key factors. However, an inheren tweakness of laminated CFRP:s is there relatively low resistance to delamination. Therst part of this thesis is devoted to extract cohesive laws associated with delamination. 5. 20. Wood Nanocellulose Materials and Effects from Surface Modification of Nanoparticles

    Författare :Michaela Salajkova; Lars Berglund; Kritiina Oksman; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Nanocellulose; nanoc omposite; dispersion; surface modification; surfa ctant; poly methyl methacrylate ; poly vinyl acetate ; carbon nanotubes; electrospinning; lubricant - infused surfaces;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocellulose is an interesting natural material thatis gaining interest in the field of materials science, particularly nanocomposites. Depending on the disintegration route, nanocellulose can be isolated either in the form of long and flexible fibres (nanofibrillated cellulose, NFC), or stiff, rod-like crystals (cellulose nanocrystals, CNC).
