  1. 36. Traffic Situation Management for Driving Automation of Articulated Heavy Road Transports - From driver behaviour towards highway autopilot

    Författare :Peter Nilsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; driver model; driving simulator; driving principles; driving automation; vehicle model; articulated heavy-vehicles; vehicle dynamics; long combination vehicles;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis traffic situation management for driving automation of long combination vehicles is discussed. The automation targets high-speed driving in multiple-lane, one-way roads. Traffic situation predictions, traffic situation manoeuvres and driving principles are studied specifically. LÄS MER

  2. 37. Genomic mutational heterogeneity in cancer. lmproved models and tools for driver gene detection

    Författare :Martin Boström; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cancer; genomics; ultraviolet light; mutational heterogeneity;

    Sammanfattning : Cancer is a disease that is strongly related to evolution, as mutations that confer a benefit to individual cells face positive selection and eventually lead to tumorigenesis. As such, the search for genes that drive cancer development entails distinguishing positive selection from other sources of increased mutation rates, which requires detailed knowledge of how normal mutation rates vary across the genome. 3. 38. Models Supporting Trajectory Planning in Autonomous Vehicles

    Författare :Erik Ward; John Folkesson; Jonas Sjöberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous vehicles; planning; modeling; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Autonomous vehicles have the potential to drastically improve the safety, efficiency and cost of transportation. Instead of a driver, an autonomous vehicle is controlled by an algorithm, offering improved consistency and the potential to eliminate human error from driving: by far the most common cause of accidents. 4. 39. Safety Evaluation Using Counterfactual Simulations: The use of computational driver behavior models in crash avoidance systems and virtual simulations with optimal subsampling

    Författare :Xiaomi Yang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; conflict and crash avoidance; safety assessment; active sampling; Advanced Driver Assistance Systems; Automated Driving Systems; counterfactual simulation; scenario generation; car-to-VRU;

    Sammanfattning : Traffic safety is a problem worldwide. In-vehicle conflict and crash avoidance systems have been under development and assessment for some time, as integral parts of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS). LÄS MER

  5. 40. Having a New Pair of Glasses : Applying Systemic Accident Models on Road Safety

    Författare :Yu-Hsing Huang; Erik Hollnagel; Pietro Carlo Cacciabue; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; accident model; road safety; accident prevention; accident analysis; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The main purpose of the thesis is to discuss the accident models which underlie accident prevention in general and road safety in particular, and the consequences of relying on a particular model have for actual preventive work. The discussion centres on two main topics. LÄS MER
