6. 3D printing of polymers onto textiles : An innovative approach to develop functional textiles
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at characterizing tridimensional (3D) printed polymers onto PET textile materials via fused deposition modeling (FDM) that uses both non-conductive and conductive polymers, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties through statistical modeling and enhancing them with pre and post-treatments and the development of polymer blends. This research work supports the development of technical textiles through 3D printing that may have functionalities. LÄS MER
7. Den pedagogiska skickligheten och akademins väktare : Kollegial bedömning vid rekrytering av universitetslärare
Sammanfattning : This thesis develops knowledge on educational proficiency as an object of assessment in academic hiring of university teachers. Hiring processes are essential for the very formation of academia, and peers involved in these processes have an institutional gate-keeping function. LÄS MER
8. Intracranial Compliance and Secondary Brain Damage. Experimental and Clinical Studies in Traumatic Head Injury
Sammanfattning : Traumatic brain injury (TBI) renders the brain more vulnerable to secondary insults. The increased vulnerability can probably be explained by a combination of disturbances in hemodynamics, metabolism and craniospinal dynamics. Reduced ability to compensate for added intracranial volume, i.e. LÄS MER
9. Monogenic Traits Associated with Structural Variants in Chicken and Horse : Allelic and Phenotypic Diversity of Visually Appealing Traits
Sammanfattning : Domestic animals have rich phenotypic diversity that can be explored to advance our understanding of the relationship between molecular genetics and phenotypic variation. Since the advent of second generation sequencing, it has become easier to identify structural variants and associate them with phenotypic outcomes. LÄS MER
10. Conditional Belonging : Listening to Unaccompanied Young Refugees’ Voices
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores negotiations of belonging among unaccompanied young refugees in Sweden. The thesis further aims to shed light on methodological aspects of bringing out their voices. LÄS MER
