11. Synthetic studies on the natural products Zoanthamine and Balanol
Sammanfattning : Three main projects are described in this thesis. In the first, a stereocontrolled route tothe marine alkaloid Zoanthamine was studied. A convergent approach based on thechiral starting materials (S)-Perillyl alcohol and (R)-4,5-Dihydro-5-hydroxymethyl-2(3H)-furanone was developed. LÄS MER
12. Studies on Metalloenzymatic Dynamic Kinetic Resolutions and Iron-Catalyzed Reactions of Allenes
Sammanfattning : The main focus of this thesis lies in the development of new transition metal-catalyzed chemoenzymatic dynamic kinetic resolutions (DKR) of both alcohols and amines. The first part of the thesis deals with the development of new heterogeneous systems for the DKR of amines. LÄS MER
13. Heck Reactions with Aryl Chlorides : Studies of Regio- and Stereoselectivity
Sammanfattning : Homogeneous palladium-catalyzed Heck vinylation of aryl chlorides was investigated under air using Herrmann’s palladacycle and the P(t-Bu)3-liberating salt [(t-Bu)3PH]BF4. Based on the results, controlled microwave heating was utilized to accelerate model Heck reactions with aryl chlorides down to 30 min employing an electron-poor olefin and a mixture of an ionic liquid and 1,4-dioxane as solvent. 14. Discovery-Oriented Screening of Dynamic Systems: Combinatorial and Synthetic Applications
Sammanfattning : This thesis is divided into six parts, all centered around the development of dynamic (i.e., reversibly interacting) systems of molecules and their applications in dynamic combinatorial chemistry (DCC) and organic synthesis. LÄS MER
15. Serotonergic aporphine derivatives : Synthesis and structure-activity relationships
Sammanfattning : Novel series of well-characterized and stereochemically pure 11-substituted (R)-aporphine derivatives have been prepared and their interaction with serotonin 5-HT7 and 5-HT1A receptors and dopamine D2A and D1 receptors have been studied. Efficient palladium catalyzed reactions were utilized for the diastereoselective synthesis of atropisomers as well as for the synthesis of several of the other (R)-aporphine derivatives. LÄS MER
