  2. 2. Convergent and Tandem Strategies in Iridium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Hydrogenation of Olefins

    Författare :Luca Massaro; Pher Andersson; Antoni Riera; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Enantioconvergent catalysis; asymmetric hydrogenation; iridium catalysis; tandem reaction; mechanistic investigation; Organic Chemistry; organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis describes the development of enantioselective methods and their corresponding mechanistic studies to expand the field of catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation. Efficient catalytic systems based on iridium complexes were designed and employed in convergent and tandem strategies to prepare important optically enriched organic compounds. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A tandem Catalyst for hydrogenation of CO2 to light olefins — The role of the zeolite component

    Författare :Wei Di; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Brønsted acid density; MTO reaction; CO2 hydrogenation; tandem catalysts; HCPs; methanol-intermediate; pre-coking; Al distribution; light olefins; SSZ-13 zeolite;

    Sammanfattning : The catalytic conversion of waste CO2 into light olefins offers a sustainable pathway for green chemicals production in the future. Over a tandem catalyst with the bifunctional active sites for methanol synthesis (CTM) and methanol to olefins (MTO), CO2 can be efficiently converted via intermediate methanol into a mixture of light olefins (ethylene, propene, butene). 4. 4. Structural Insights at Sub-Ångstrom, Medium and Low Resolution: Crystallization of Trypsin, Bacterioferritin, Photosynthetic Reaction Center, and Photosynthetic Core Complex

    Författare :Weixiao Yuan Wahlgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; protein crystallization; cubic phase; sponge phase; bicelle; trypsin; bacterioferritin; reaction center; core complex; photosynthesis;

    Sammanfattning : The catalytic action of serine proteases depends on the interplay of a nucleophile, a general base and a general acid. The catalytic triad is composed of serine, histidine and aspartate residues. The serine acts as a nucleophile while the histidine plays a dual role as the general base or acid at different steps of the reaction. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Controlling the Reactivity and Selectivity in Iridium- and Rhodium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Hydrogenation

    Författare :Haibo Wu; Pher Andersson; Virginie Ratovelomanana-Vidal; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Asymmetric hydrogenation; Cascade reaction; Kinetic resolution; Desymmetrization; Dearomatization; Total synthesis; Heterogeneous catalysis; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis is mainly focused on the development of iridium- or rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation featuring a number of practical concepts including cascade reaction, kinetic resolution, desymmetrization, and dearomatization. The protocols rely on gaining control of the reactivity among different olefins or olefin precursor as well as maintaining chemo- and stereo-selectivity in the hydrogenation. LÄS MER
