6. Aromatic Allylation via Diazotization; Application in synthesis of heterocyclic compounds
Sammanfattning : A new method for allylation of aromatic systems has been developed. A number of arylamines were converted via diazotization to the corresponding allylaromatic compounds using tert-butyl nitrite and an excess of allylic bromides with complete regioselectivity. Electron-withdrawing groups, in the aromatic moiety, were necessary to obtain good yields. LÄS MER
7. Determination of Banned Azo Dyes in Leather
Sammanfattning : Dyes are commercially indispensable and the expanding industry offers a complete palette of colors. Azo dyes constitute the largest chemical class of synthetic dyes because of their versatility, low price, and ease of production. LÄS MER
8. Aerosols of Isocyanates, Amines and Anhydrides : Sampling and Analysis
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods for air sampling and determination of isocyanates, amines, aminoisocyanates and anhydrides. These organic compounds are generated during thermal degradation of polymers such as polyurethane (PUR) or epoxy.Isocyanates, amines and anhydrides are airway irritants known to cause occupational asthma. 9. Polyesters with indole as sustainable aromatic component
Sammanfattning : Plastics are widely used in our daily lives and industry. Unfortunaltely, most plastics are produced from non-renewable fossil resources. The transition toward sustainable resources such as various biomass is critically important for the future of plastic industry and the whole society. LÄS MER
10. Capillary electroseparations with mass spectrometric detection Nanoparticle-based continuous full filling and applications for complex sample matrices
Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges in analytical chemistry is to find techniques and methods for determinations of low abundance compounds in complex sample matrices. This thesis describes the development of new miniaturised analytical techniques comprising capillary electroseparation combined with mass spectrometric detection. LÄS MER
