    Författare :Jakob Dahlin; Gunnar Skarping; Robert P. Streicher; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; isocyanate; amine; aminoisocyanate; organic acid anhydride; denuder; impactor; impinger; air sampling; LC-MS; LC-CLND; di-n-butylamine; DBA; thermal degradation; aerosol; particles; TDI; MDI; HDI; ICA; MIC; IPDI; exposure; occupational health; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods for air sampling and determination of isocyanates, amines, aminoisocyanates and anhydrides. These organic compounds are generated during thermal degradation of polymers such as polyurethane (PUR) or epoxy.Isocyanates, amines and anhydrides are airway irritants known to cause occupational asthma. Författare :Daniel Gylestam; Marianne Dalene; Gunnar Skarping; Daniel Karlsson; Dhimiter Bello; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Isocyanate; PUR; Dry sampler; PTR-MS; Transfer line; PPE; Environmental Chamber; Respirable Particles; Denuder Impactor; Aerosol; Particles; Impinger; air sampling; LC-MS; di-n-butylamine; DBA; ICA; MIC; HDI; TDI; IPDI; MDI; Occupational Exposure; Exposure; Occupational Health; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Isocyanates are mainly used in the industry for the production of polyurethane (PUR) plastics. Workers are at risk of being exposed during the manufacturing of PUR. During thermal degradation of PUR, isocyanates are released and workers involved in hot work such as fire-fighting, welding etc. may also be exposed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On the Determination of Reactive Compounds in Aerosols

    Författare :Mårten Spanne; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Environmental technology; industrial hygiene; isocyanates; particles; sampling; aerosols; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : Many sources of airborne contaminants have always been present in various work environments. With the development of thermosetting plastic systems, the use of reactive chemical compounds was greatly increased and thus also the risk of exposure to reactive and potentially hazardous compounds. 4. 4. Airborne Isocyanates, Aminoisocyanates and Amines

    Författare :Daniel Karlsson; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Environmental health; Miljökemi; Environmental chemistry; amines; aminoisocyanates; isocyanates; polyurethane; exposure; occupational; thermal degradation; chemiluminescence; mass spectrometry; Liquid chromatography; gas chromatography; Miljömedicin; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Isocyanates are used in the production of polyurethane (PUR). Exposure to isocyanates is associated with respiratory disorders and may occur during production or processing of PUR. During thermal degradation of PUR, amines and aminoisocyanates are formed in addition to isocyanates. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Isocyanates - assessment of human exposure

    Författare :Håkan Tinnerberg; Avdelningen för arbets- och miljömedicin; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; exposure; biomonitoring; occupational; isophorone diisocyanate; hexamethylene diisocyanate; methylenediphenyl diisocyanate; toluene diisocyanate; amines; aminoisocyanates; polyurethane; isocyanates; Liquid chromatography; Environmental technology; mass spectrometry;

    Sammanfattning : Isocyanates are used mainly for manufacturing of polyurethane (PUR) foams, lacquers, elastomers and glues. The production of PUR exceeds 2 million tonnes per year and is increasing. Occupational exposure to isocyanates are associated with respiratory disorders. LÄS MER
