    Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to study the development of a so called free theatre group in the south of Sweden. This group, here called Proteus/Mercurius, started out as a travelling amateur theatre, emanating from the Student Theatre of Lund, in 1965, and waas finally established as the regional theatre of the county of Skaraborg, in 1988.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the directorial changes brought about in Vintersagan, Ingmar Bergman's 1994 production of William Shakespeare's late play The Winter's Tale (1610-11) at Dramaten in Stockholm, and put forth a contribution to a more nuanced understanding of Bergman as a theatre director. Foreignness and familiarity, remoteness and proximity are the dichotomies with which his theatrical work is best described. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This study argues that Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus (1594) and The Rape of Lucrece (1594), Michael Drayton’s Matilda (1594) and Thomas Middleton’s The Ghost of Lucrece (1600) are, in ways hitherto not realised, topically concerned with the religious controversies in the wake of the English Reformation. This concern is discussed on a general level of interest related to religious attitudes and practices significant at the time of writing, and on a specific level pertaining to events surrounding the capture of the Jesuit poet Robert Southwell in 1592, which included the rape or seduction of a Catholic woman.
