    Sammanfattning : The self-switching diode (SSD) has been investigated as a potential terahertz detector in recent years. The SSD accomplishes a non-linear current-voltage relation through a field-effect, which enables detection at zero bias from microwave up to terahertz frequencies.     Sammanfattning : A technology of encapsulation of graphene in Parylene was introducedas an alternative to encapsulating graphene in hBN. Edge contacts to theencapsulated graphene in this case showed resistivity down to 14 Ohm um,which is the lowest reported value so far. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Two types of photodetectors containing Ge/Si quantum dots have been fabricated based on materials grown by molecular beam epitaxy and characterized with several experimental techniques.
