Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis is to study mediated political communication in Stockholm, focusing on media content as well as media consumption and the role media play in a democracy. The study is based on content analysis of local and regional media (newspapers, tv and radio) in the greater Stockholm region and on a survey with 2 440 answers from people living in different parts of the region. Sammanfattning : The concepts of media accountability, media criticism and media governance are analysed and discussed in a Swedish setting; how they relate to each other and interact. This is achieved by using various methods – a survey to editors, analy- ses of parliamentary debates, interviews, direct observation and document stu- dies – in studying different stakeholders, media representatives and governance conditions in Sweden during the last 70 years. 15. The Interpretation and Translation of Global Ideas into Local Practices : A Study of the Internationalisation of Higher Education in Mozambique
Sammanfattning : Internationalisation and its components, such as curriculum internationalisation and international partnerships, have evolved over time in the context of higher education. In this thesis, such terminologies are addressed as global ideas of internationalisation because internationalisation is described as a global, intentional and inclusive concept in higher education, even though it is understood to have been pursued under coercion and contestation in Africa and elsewhere.
