   Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to increase the understanding of how to design highly active silver-alumina catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with hydrocarbons (HC-SCR) in oxygen excess at low temperatures (150-250 °C).    Sammanfattning : Novel uses of wheat gluten (WG) proteins, obtained e.g. as a coproduct from bio-ethanol production, are presented in this thesis.
