   Sammanfattning : This dissertation aims at providing a new critical edition of the fictitious Letters of the Courtesans attributed to Alciphron (late 2nd or early 3rd century AD).The first part of the introduction begins with a brief survey of the problematic dating and identification of Alciphron, followed by a general overview of the epistolary genre and the letters of Alciphron.    Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the vocabulary and narrative skills of 100 Arabic-Swedish-speaking children (aged 4–7 years) in Sweden cross-sectionally and the development of these skills (4 to 6) in a subgroup of 10 children longitudinally. Also, the vocabulary skills of 100 Arabic-speaking bilingual children (aged 4–7 years) in Lebanon are investigated cross-sectionally and compared to the Swedish cross-sectional study. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This study discusses the imperial freedmen’s standing in Roman society as it is expressed in literary and epigraphic sources. It has often been assumed that the traditional elite had a general negative attitude towards this group, and previous scholars have interpreted the social standing of the imperial freedmen very differently due to the discrepancy between the legal status and the social status of these freedmen. Connected texts can have complex text-level linguistic dependencies across sentences that must be preserved in translation.
