  1. 1. Produktionsnoveller : Om Folkforms arbete med Masonite och andra material

    Författare :Anna Holmquist; Sara Ilstedt; Mona Livholts; Johanna Rosenqvist; Andreas Nobel; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Industrial craftsmanship; design; narrative methodology; practice-led research; material; Masonite; Production Novellas; design research; Folkform; Industriellt hantverk; design; narrativ metod; praktikbaserad forskning; material; Masonite; produktionsnoveller; designforskning; Folkform; Art; Technology and Design; Konst; teknik och design;

    Sammanfattning : A large part of the production today is manufactured so far from the consumer that there is no connection to the production. That there have historically been direct connections between an industry and the people, local traditions and material assets of the place is easily forgotten. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Circular design through co-creation: Exploring perspectives and future directions for design in a circular economy

    Författare :Giliam Dokter; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Circular Economy; Co-creation; Design practice; Prototyping; Design for Sustainability; Circular Design;

    Sammanfattning : In the efforts to stimulate sustainable development, the circular economy aims to establish ‘closed-loop’ flows of resources in a way that enables businesses and society to reap benefits from maintaining products, components and materials at their highest utility and value, while simultaneously reducing the generation of waste. Designing for a circular economy will require designers to, more than ever, anticipate how artifacts function and change over time and conceptualise the entire lifecycle (including the design, production, use and end-of-life phase) in a coherent and holistic way. 3. 3. Innovation in a Changing World : Exploring PSS Design through Prototyping

    Författare :Ryan Ruvald; Alessandro Bertoni; Andreas Larsson; Christian Johansson Askling; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Product-Service System Design; Design Thinking; Prototypes; Boundary Objects; Maskinteknik; Mechanical Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Customers across all sectors have increasing expectations (e.g. value, efficiency, availability, quality, etc.) and expanding needs which traditional business models fail to address simultaneously and stand-alone products cannot be expected to solve. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Three perspectives on supply chain design

    Författare :Håkan Aronsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; logistics; supply chain management; design variables; constructs; concepts;

    Sammanfattning : As companies increasingly cooperate with and rely on other companies to compete on a global market, the concept of supply chain management and logistics is gaining interest, from practitioner as well as researchers. Studies of high-performing companies, such as Benetton, Toyota and Nissan report that these organizations take a strategic view of the whole process of supply from original sources of material to end customers, achieving more efficient operations management and more effective strategic management. 5. 5. Shaping thought through action : A study of the use and design of technical information

    Författare :Jonatan Lundin; Yvonne Eriksson; Carina Söderlund; Inger Orre; Harald Schaub; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with the design of technical information, such as a user manual for an industrial device, based on the searching and reading behaviour of process operators and maintenance technicians. Such industrial professionals, who use tools like measuring equipment, are sometimes unable to get the support they need from searching and reading in a text- and image-based tool manual in order to perform work tasks.
