  1. 31. A Virtual Design Studio for Low-Frequency Sound from Walking in Lightweight Buildings

    Författare :Nata Amiryarahmadi; Sweden Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lightweight floors; Walking sound; Low frequency; Annoyance; Virtual design studio;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years there has been a growing interest for building lightweight multistorey woodenresidential buildings in countries like Sweden with large and renewable forests. While positive aspectsof these buildings, such as sustainability, ease of construction and lightness, motivate building more inwood, poor acoustic performance is a risk which concerns the wooden-building industry. 2. 32. Modelling and Intelligent Climate Control of Buildings

    Författare :Mohsen Soleimani Mohseni; Bertil Thomas; Lennart Jagemar; Geoffrey Levermore; Chalmers University of technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; neural networks; indoor climate control; operative temperature; demand controlled ventilation; prediction; feed-forward control;

    Sammanfattning : The main purpose of the work presented in this thesis is to examine the possibilities of different control techniques together with intelligent building technology to improve the indoor climate and/or the energy efficiency of buildings. In particular, the possibilities of measuring more variables and using them as input to the controllers are examined. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers : Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties

    Författare :Tobias Andersson; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering mechanics; Teknisk mekanik; Teknik; Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties TOBIAS ANDERSSON Department of Applied Mechanics Chalmers University of Technology ABSTRACT This thesis is concerned with methods to extract material properties of thin adhesive layers loaded in peel and in mixed mode. The first part of the thesis is devoted to an experimental method to determine the complete stress-elongation relation (or cohesive law) for an adhesive layer loaded in peel using the DCB-specimen. 4. 34. Applications of Microwave Heating of Foods

    Författare :Birgitta Raaholt; RISE; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; modelling of microwave heating; microwave-assisted HTST processing; product quality.; heat transfer; microwave heating; microwave oven; heating uniformity; microwave cavity; tubular microwave in-flow processing;

    Sammanfattning : AbstractMicrowave heating of foods offers rapid and flexible heating both for consumer and industrial applications, with several advantages, such as reduced processing time (due to volumetric heating and reduced coming-up times (heating time required to reach the desired target temperature), selective heating, increased process flexibility and efficient heating (volumetric heating of the food does not require heating of a surrounding medium or package). However, successful installations requireknowledge in process design. LÄS MER

  5. 35. From CAD to FEA : A design automation perspective

    Författare :Roland Stolt; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Idealisation; CAD; Finite element analysis; mid-surfaces; KBES; Feature based modelling; knowledge based systems; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Construction engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : CAD-models of parts produced by injection moulding or die-casting are often complex making the task of automated geometrical idealisation for finite element analysis difficult. Conventional tools for geometric idealisation are not ideal for the task, as will be shown in the thesis. LÄS MER
