21. CO2 capture from oxy-fuel combustion power plants
Sammanfattning : To mitigate the global greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions, carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage (CCS) has the potential to play a significant role for reaching mitigation target. Oxy-fuel combustion is a promising technology for CO2 capture in power plants. LÄS MER
22. REACTIVE TRANSPORT MODELLING OF DISSOLVED CO2 IN POROUS MEDIA : Injection into and leakage from geological reservoirs
Sammanfattning : The geological sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the options of controlling the greenhouse gas emissions. However, leakage of CO2 from the storage reservoir is a risk associated with geological sequestration. Over longer times, large-scale groundwater motion may cause leakage of dissolved CO2 (CO2aq). 23. Characterization of the structure, stratigraphy and CO2 storage potential of the Swedish sector of the Baltic and Hanö Bay basins using seismic reflection methods
Sammanfattning : An extensive multi-channel seismic dataset acquired between 1970 and 1990 by Oljeprospektering AB (OPAB) has recently been made available by the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU). This thesis summarizes four papers, which utilize this largely unpublished dataset to improve our understanding of the geology and CO2 storage capacity of the Baltic and Hanö Bay basins in southern Sweden. 24. CO2 transportation infrastructure and biomass supply systems for carbon capture and storage - A modeling study of Swedish industry
Sammanfattning : Rapid decarbonization of the industrial sector is crucial if the world is to manage to meet the target set in the Paris Agreement of limiting global warming to “well below 2°C”. The main technological pathways for achieving a low-carbon industry are the substitution of fossil feedstocks and energy supply with bio-based alternatives, electrification, and implementing carbon capture and storage (CCS). 25.
