  1. 1. Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analysis Methods with Applications to a Road Traffic Emission Model

    Detta är en avhandling från Matematiska institutionen

    Författare :Olle Eriksson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Emission; Grid; Model; Pollutant; Response surface; Road traffic; Sensitivity analysis; Simulation; Uncertainty analysis; Avgaser; Vägtrafik; Miljöaspekter; SOCIAL SCIENCES Statistics; computer and systems science Statistics; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Statistik; data- och systemvetenskap Statistik;

    Sammanfattning : There is always a need to study the properties of complex input–output systems, properties that may be very difficult to determine. Two such properties are the output’s sensitivity to changes in the inputs and the output’s uncertainty if the inputs are uncertain. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background: The negative effects of air pollution on morbidity and mortality have been known since the mid 20th century. The two most well known examples are the Meuse Valley disaster in the 1930’ies and the London black fog in December 1952. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Study and Development of Techniques to Improve Engine Stability and Reduce Emissions from Natural Gas Engines

    Detta är en avhandling från Combustion Engines, Box 118, 22100 LUND

    Författare :Patrik Einewall; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; framdrivningssystem; Motorer; Motors and propulsion systems; Low Emissions ; Natural Gas Engines ; EGR ;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis was to find ways to improve combustion and reduce emissions from supercharged natural gas engines. In-cylinder flow measurements were made with laser doppler velocimetry, LDV, heat release was calculated from cylinder pressures and emissions were measured at various locations. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Automatic Reduction Procedures for Chemical Mechanisms in Reactive Systems

    Detta är en avhandling från Division of Combustion Physics, Department of Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Terese Lövås; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mechanism Reduction; Combustion; Physics; Emissions; Fysik; Fysicumarkivet A:2002:Lövås;

    Sammanfattning : To deal with complex physical and chemical processes in reactive systems, such as combustion processes, it is necessary to find methods that simplify modelling in such a way that it becomes both more comprehensible and practically useful. In the work reported here a method for automatically reducing chemical reaction mechanisms has been developed for use in computer simulations of various combustion systems. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Selectivity Enhancement of Gas Sensitive Field Effect Transistors by Dynamic Operation

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping, Sweden / Aachen, Germany : Linköping University Electronic Press / Shaker Verlag

    Författare :Christian Bur; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Gas sensitive field effect transistors based on silicon carbide, SiC-FETs, have been applied to various applications mainly in the area of exhaust and combustion monitoring. So far, these sensors have normally been operated at constant temperatures and adaptations to specific applications have been done by material and transducer platform optimization. LÄS MER
