    Sammanfattning : Network-on-Chip (NoC) is emerging as a critical shared architecture for CMPs (Chip Multi-/Many-Core Processors) running parallel and concurrent applications. As the core count scales up and the transistor size shrinks, how to optimize power and performance for NoC open new research challenges. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Models for quality of service in heterogenoeous networks

    Författare :Rahim Rahmani; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Both streaming techniques and wireless heterogeneous networks have recently become more widely deployed. As the current streaming techniques are primarily designed for homogenous wired networks, streaming multimedia applications in heterogeneous networks can perform poorly due to wireless networks conditions and vertical handover. 4. 4. Window-based congestion control : Modeling, analysis and design

    Författare :Niels Möller; Karl Henrik Johansson; Rayadurgam Srikant; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a model for the ACK-clock inner loop, common to virtually all Internet congestion control protocols, and analyzes the stability properties of this inner loop, as well as the stability and fairness properties of several window update mechanisms built on top of the ACK-clock. Aided by the model for the inner-loop, two new congestion control mechanisms are constructed, for wired and wireless networks. LÄS MER
