21. Scale and Stress Effects on Hydro-Mechanical Properties of Fractured Rock Masses
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the effects of size and stress on permeability, deformability and strength of fractured rock masses are investigated. A comparison study was carried out to examine the effects of considering, or not considering, the correlation between distributions of fracture apertures and fracture trace lengths on the hydro-mechanical behavior of fractured rocks. 22. Rut Depth Prediction on Flexible Pavements - Calibration and Validation of Incremental-Recursive Models
Sammanfattning : In later years the development of pavement design has gone towards more and more analytically based methods. Future design will probably be based on incremental deterioration models. The objective is to evaluate different types of rut depth prediction models for an incremental design process. LÄS MER
23. Control of Defects and Subgrains in Epitaxial Perovskite Thin Films
Sammanfattning : This work concerns the microstructure of epitaxial (001) perovskite thin films, studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), in particular high resolution TEM, electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS), and energy dispersive x-ray analysis. The perovskites exhibit interesting superconducting, dielectric, and magnetic properties. LÄS MER
24. Methods for measurement of vocal fold vibration and viscoelasticity
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis was to develop new methods for analysis of vocal fold vibrations and viscoelasticity and to test them in human subjects. In Study I the onset of vibration and irregular vocal fold vibration was examined with laryngoscopy using a high-speed camera at a frame rate of about 2000 images/sec. LÄS MER
25. En god visuell arbetsmiljö : ögonbesvär, muskuloskeletala besvär och produktivitet hos brevbärare
Sammanfattning : This study appears to be one of few intervention studies with focus on eyestrain and lighting on non-computer workplaces. Previous studies have shown strong connections between eyestrain and musculoskeletal strain. LÄS MER
