  1. 16. Phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge fluidized bed gasification processes

    Författare :Thomas Karl Hannl; Marcus Öhman; Matthias Kuba; Nils Skoglund; Flemming Jappe Frandsen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; gasification; sewage sludge; agricultural residues; bed material; fluidized bed; feldspar; ash transformation; potassium; phosphorus; ICP-AES MS; SEM; EDS; XRD; thermodynamic equilibrium modeling; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : One of the most sustainable pathways of sewage sludge treatment in recent years has been thermal conversion. The benefits of thermal treatment of sewage sludge are the recovery of energy or valuable chemical products, the destruction of harmful organic compounds, the separation of heavy metals from the P-rich coarse ash fraction, and the decreased and sanitized ash volume. 2. 17. Enhanced Catalytic Pyrolysis of Biomass for High-Quality Biofuel Production

    Författare :Devy Kartika Ratnasari; Weihong Yang; Pär Jönsson; Tobias Richards; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Al-MCM-41; lignocellulose biomass; H-ZSM-5; kinetic study; catalyst regeneration;

    Sammanfattning : The rapid increase in energy demand, the extensive use of fossil fuels, and the urgent need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions have raised concerns in the transportation sector, since transportation has been primarily dependent on fossil fuels. Biofuel from biomass can make significant contributions to overcome the expected depletion of fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The current societal needs for fuels and chemical commodities strongly depend on fossil resources. This dependence can lead to economic instabilities, political problems and insecurity of supplies. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Aspects of Ash Transformations in Pressurised Entrained-Flow Gasification of Woody Biomass : Pilot-scale studies

    Författare :Charlie Ma; Marcus Öhman; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; woody biomass; gasification; ash transformation; slag behaviour; refractory corrosion; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Pressurised entrained-flow gasification (PEFG) of woody biomass has the potential to produce high purity syngas for the production of vital chemicals, e.g., biofuels. However, ash-related issues such as reactor blockages and refractory corrosion need to be addressed before this potential can be realised from a technical perspective. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Slag Formation During Pilot-Scale Pressurised Entrained-Flow Gasification of Woody Biomass

    Författare :Charlie Ma; Christoffer Boman; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Pressurised entrained‐flow gasification (PEFG) of sustainable woody biomass offers the opportunity for envi-ronmentally benign production of syngas that is suitable for synthesis of fuels and other chemicals. During the PEFG process, ash-forming matter in the fuel undergoes transformations. LÄS MER
