    Sammanfattning : The demand for Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) in the automotive industry is increasing day by day. It is mainly motivated by the fact that AHSS can be used as thin sheets while having high strengths. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Design and application of experimental methods for steel sheet shearing

    Författare :Emil Gustafsson; Mats Oldenburg; Per Gradin; Lars Karlsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics; Simulering av klippning i höghållfast stål;

    Sammanfattning : Shearing is the process where sheet metal is mechanically cut between two tools. Various shearing technologies are commonly used in the sheet metal industry, for example, in cut to length lines, slitting lines, end cropping etc. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Modelling of Inelastic Effects in Metal Sheets and Identification of Material Parameters

    Författare :Edin Omerspahic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; plasticity; viscoplasticity; MCR mechanism; constitutive modelling; mixed hardening; damage; dynamic yield surface; material parameter identification;

    Sammanfattning : The continuum modelling of the macroscopic behaviour of metallic sheets and the identification of corresponding material parameters for models selected are dealt with in the thesis. Thermodynamics with internal variables provides a framework for the derivation of the models. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Stainless Steel in Biological Environments – Relation between Material Characteristics, Surface Chemistry and Toxicity

    Författare :Yolanda Hedberg; Inger Odnevall Wallinder; Sasha Omanovich; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Triggered by the regulatory need of the industry to demonstrate safe use of their alloy products from an environmental and health perspective, and by the significant lack of metal release data and its correlation to material and surface characteristics for iron- and chromium-based alloys, a highly interdisciplinary in-depth research effort was undertaken to assess the relation between material/surface characteristics and toxicity with main emphasis on stainless steel alloys. This thesis focuses predominantly on studies made on AISI 316L both as massive sheet and as powder particles, but includes also results for other stainless steel grades and reference metals and metal oxides.
