    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nanocube; LSPR; alloys; colloidal synthesis; organic synthesis; phthalocyanine complexes; gas sensing.; stabilizers; palladium; nanoparticles; phthalocyanine; nanocomposites; gold;

    Sammanfattning : Currently metal nanoparticles (NPs) are a subject of interest regarding many applications, in particular chemical gas sensing, as the associated environmental issues are of substantial importance. Metal NPs are attractive due to their fascinating optical properties and primarily, localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) which strongly depends on size and shape of NPs. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Metal-Organic Complexes at Surfaces

    Författare :Cristina Isvoranu; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; x-ray absorption spectroscopy; x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; bi-isonicotinic acid; oxalic acid; spin change; gas adsorption; metal-organic complex; iron phthalocyanine; scanning tunneling spectroscopy; resonant photoemission spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : The adsorption of different metal-organic complexes at surfaces was investigated by spectroscopic techniques (x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, resonant photoemission spectroscopy) and by scanning tunnelling microscopy. The investigation methods are able to provide atomic scale information on the studied systems, which moreover originates from the top-most atomic layers in a sample, meaning that they are surface sensitive techniques. 3. 3. Surface-Induced Modification of Supported Late Transition Metal Complexes

    Författare :Olesia Snezhkova; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; N-heterocyclic carbene palladium complexes; X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; electron charge transfer; iron phthalocyanine; catalysis; X-ray absorption spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis addresses the investigation of the electronic, magnetic, and structural properties of late transition metal complexes supported on various surfaces. The research is aimed at studying the interaction between the molecules and the support, together with the intermolecular interaction. This knowledge is essential e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Theoretical Characterization of Optical Processes in Modecular Complexes

    Författare :Kai Liu; Yi Luo; Benoît CHAMPAGNE; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; one-photon absorption; two-photon absorption; surface-enhanced Raman scattering; Theoretical chemistry; Teoretisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The main theme of this thesis is to study effects of different environments on geometric and electronic structures, as well as optical responses, of molecules using time-(in)dependent density functional theory. Theoretical calculations have been carried out for properties that can be measured by conventional and advanced experimental techniques, including one-photon absorption (OPA), two-photon absorption (TPA), surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and second order nonlinear optical (NLO) response. 5. 5. Dyes and their adsorption onto nanocrystalline TiO2 electrodes : Synthesis, characterisation and applications

    Författare :Viviane Aranyos; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The syntheses of two type of dyes (phthalocyanine and ruthenium tris-bipyridyl) are presented here. Their characterisation involves the use of cyclic voltammetry, NMR- and UV-visible spectroscopy. Once adsorbed on nanocrystalline TiO2 electrodes, their electrochemical, spectroelectrochemical and photoelectrochemical properties were investigated. LÄS MER
