1. Military Leaders and Trust
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study trust in military leaders. Empirical data was gathered through interviews and questionnaires with military personnel mostly from Sweden, but also from four other European countries. LÄS MER
2. Free charge carrier properties in group III nitrides and graphene studied by THz-to-MIR ellipsometry and optical Hall effect
Sammanfattning : Development of silicon based electronics have revolutionized our every day life during the last five decades. Nowadays silicon based devices operate close to their theoretical limits that is becoming a bottleneck for further progress. LÄS MER
3. Robust Image Registration for Improved Clinical Efficiency : Using Local Structure Analysis and Model-Based Processing
Sammanfattning : Medical imaging plays an increasingly important role in modern healthcare. In medical imaging, it is often relevant to relate different images to each other, something which can prove challenging, since there rarely exists a pre-defined mapping between the pixels in different images. 4. Protease Activity, Inhibition and Ligand Interaction Analysis : Developments and Applications for Drug Discovery
Sammanfattning : The present study has focused on characterising protease-ligand interactions in the context of drug discovery. The proteases that have been studied are human matrix metallopeptidase 12 (MMP-12), HIV-protease and Hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3/NS4A protease. LÄS MER
5. Development of tissue-equivalent CVD-diamond radiation detectors with small interface effects
Sammanfattning : Due to its close tissue-equivalence, high radiation sensitivity, dose and dose-rate linearity, diamond is a very promising detector for radiation therapy applications. The present thesis focuses on the development of a chemical vapour deposited (CVD) diamond detector with special attention on the arrangement of the electrodes and encapsulation having minimal influence on the measured signal.
