  1. 1. On the processing and properties of cellulose-containing polymeric materials

    Författare :Ruth Arino Marine; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; dispersion; extrusion; injection moulding; ionic liquids; compounding; ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer; gels; cellulose fibres; rheological properties;

    Sammanfattning : Cellulose fibres have properties such as renewability, biodegradability, very good availability and low cost that make them very attractive as a reinforcement for thermoplastic polymers. Other more specific favourable properties are low density, high specific stiffness, low abrasive nature and their potential for modification. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On the processing and properties of cellulose-containing polymeric materials

    Författare :Ruth Arino Marine; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; rheological properties; compounding; dispersion; ionic liquids; ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer; cellulose fibres; gels;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTCellulose fibres have properties that make them very attractive as a reinforcement for thermoplastic polymers. Renewability, biodegradability, very good availability and low cost are some general advantages. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The high Arctic summer aerosol : Size, chemical composition, morphology and evolution over the pack-ice

    Författare :Evelyne Hamacher-Barth; Caroline Leck; Stephan Weinbruch; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arctic; aerosol; marine gel; electron microscopy; EDX-spectroscopy; chemical composition; morphology; size distribution; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Sammanfattning : Aerosol particles, especially in the high Arctic are still not very well represented in climate models. Particle size and number concentrations are strongly under-predicted and temporal variations of aerosol composition and size are still not very well understood, mainly due to the sparsity of observations. 4. 4. Proteomics in biomarker research : Insights into the effects of aging and environment on biological systems

    Författare :Hanna Amelina; Susana Cristobal; Jean-Charles Sanchez; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; proteomics; biomarker; peroxisomes; 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis 2-DE ; mass spectrometry MS ; aging; marine pollution; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Environmental toxicology; Miljötoxikologi; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Proteomics is the global analysis of proteins that covers a broad range of technologies aimed at determining the identity and quantity of proteins expressed in the cell, their three-dimensional structure and interaction partners. In contrast to genome, proteome reflects more accurately on the dynamic state of the cell, tissue, or an organism. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development and application of a proteomic approach to the assessment of pollution in the marine environment

    Författare :Itxaso Apraiz Larrucea; Susana Cristobal; Joe de Pierre; David Sheehan; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; proteomics; mussels; peroxisomes; two-dimensional electrophoresis 2-DE ; difference gel electrophoresis DIGE ; bisphenol A BPA ; diallyl phthalate DAP ; 2; 2′; 4; 4′-tetrabromodiphenyl ether PBDE-47 ; fuel oil; Prestige oil spill; Environmental toxicology; Miljötoxikologi; Toxicology; Toxikologi; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Today, assessment of the health of coastal waters is recognized as being important for both the conservation of nature and well-being of humans. Anthropogenic pollution has been the focus of extensive research for some time and a variety of programs for the monitoring and assessment of environmental pollution have been developed. LÄS MER
