1. Development of DNA-based methods for analysis of protein interactions
Sammanfattning : In situ proximity ligation assay (PLA) is a method for detection of protein interactions, post-translational modifications (PTMs) and individual proteins that allows information about their localization in a cell or tissue to be extracted. The method is based on oligonucleotide-conjugated antibodies (proximity probes) that upon binding of two epitopes in close proximity give rise to an amplifiable DNA circle. LÄS MER
2. A Study of Localisation Economies and the Transport Sector

3. Immune moldulatory effects of intravenous immunoglobulin in vitro and after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
Sammanfattning : Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) has been used in patients with immunodeficiencies and various autoimmune diseases. Its immune modulatory effect is well documented. In allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) IVIG has been used to reduce the incidence of infections and graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD). LÄS MER
4. Nonmarket Interactions and Density Externalities
Sammanfattning : The four individual papers in this thesis all explore some aspect of the relationship between productivity and the density of economic activity. The first paper (co-authored with Martin Andersson, and Johan Klaesson) establishes the general relationship between regional density and average labor productivity; a relationship that is particularly strong for workers in interactive professions. 5. Transport accessibility, wholesale trade and spatial development
Sammanfattning : This thesis comprises four independent papers, which all explore some aspect of the relationship between accessibility and spatial development. The central question I pose is how improved accessibility to transportation services, human capital, jobs, or the market contributes to the spatial variation in economic development. LÄS MER
