  1. 1. Intestinal preservation for transplantation: translational approaches

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :John M. Söfteland; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2019]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; intestinal transplantation; intestinal preservation; apoptosis; tight junction; luminal preservation;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Intestinal preservation injury (IPI) may result in various degrees of mucosal damage, which may later favor bacterial translocation, post-reperfusion syndrome, and upregulation of alloreactivity. Experimental evidence suggests that combining vascular perfusion and cold storage with luminal interventions using polyethylene glycol (PEG) solutions may mitigate the mucosal damage and extend the safe storage time. 2. 2. Renal function after transplantation of the liver and intestine

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :Gustaf Herlenius; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; adult liver transplantation; pediatric liver transplantation; intestinal transplantation; multivisceral transplantation; immunosuppression; calcineurin inhibitors; glomerular filtration rate; renal function; nephrotoxicity; chronic kidney disease; renal replacement therapy; mortality;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) after liver (LT) or intestinal (IT) transplantation may decrease patient survival. Calcineurin inhibitors (CNI) play a major role in its development. Aims: Describe long term renal function and risk factors for developing CKD in adults and children after LT and IT. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Intestinal transplantation. Experimental and clinical studies

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :Mihai Oltean; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Intestinal preservation; Ischemia-reperfusion injury; Tight junction; FK506; Resistin;

    Sammanfattning : Intestinal preservation-reperfusion injury may result in various degrees of mucosal injury. Interestingly, the preservation injury is similar when using the current preservation solutions, which are given as a intravascular flush. An extensive mucosal injury may ultimately preclude the use of organs that require longer preservation time. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Graft-versus-Host Disease: Eosinophils, Chimerism and Clinical Features in Patients Undergoing Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell or Multivisceral Transplantation

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :Julia Cromvik; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; graft-versus-host disease; eosinophilic granulocyte; intestinal transplantation; multivisceral transplantation; chimerism analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a potentially severe complication that may develop after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). It can also occur after transplantation with isolated intestinal grafts or after multivisceral transplantation (MVTX). GVHD is difficult to diagnose. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Small Intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors Clinical Studies, Novel Serum Biomarkers and Sensitivity to Cytotoxic and Targeted Agents

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Kosmas Daskalakis; Uppsala universitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; SI-NET; fibrosis; locoregional surgery; liver transplantation; biomarkers; ex vivo sensitivity.;

    Sammanfattning : Small Intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors (SI-NETs) are indolent neoplasms with an increasing annual incidence of approximately 1/100 000 people. They are often diagnosed at a late stage, restricting treatment efficacy. LÄS MER
