  1. 21. Late-orogenic, ductile shear zones and protolith ages in the Svecofennian domain, central Sweden

    Författare :Karin Högdahl; Carl Ehlers; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mineralogy; Petrology and Geochemistry; mineralogi; petrologi och geokemi;

    Sammanfattning : The timing of deformation along ductile shear zones in the Svecofennian Domain in central Sweden has generally been constrained by their relationship to magmatic and metamorphic events of known age. A better resolution for the timing of the deformation can be obtained by direct, radiometric dating of minerals which are constituents of the shear fabric. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Proterozoic to Quaternary Events of Fracture Mineralisation and Oxidation in SE Sweden

    Författare :Henrik Drake; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fracture minerals; low-temperature evolution; paleohydrogeology; redox front; wall rock alteration; stable isotopes; geochemistry; Ar-Ar dating; fluid inclusions; Mössbauer spectroscopy; U-series disequilibrium; Simpevarp; Laxemar; SE Sweden; nuclear waste repository.;

    Sammanfattning : Fracture minerals and altered wall rock have been analysed to reveal the low-temperature evolution, especially regarding redox conditions, of the Simpevarp area, SE Sweden. This area is one of the two areas in Sweden investigated by the Swedish Nuclear fuel and Waste Management Co. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Genesis and tectonic setting of the hypozonal Fäboliden orogenic gold deposit, northern Sweden

    Författare :Glenn Bark; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ore Geology; Malmgeologi;

    Sammanfattning : The well-known Skellefte Ore District, northern Sweden, hosts a large number of massive sulphide deposits, a few porphyry-type-deposits and a number of gold deposits in different geological settings. Southwest of this district a new ore province, the so called Gold Line, is presently being uncovered. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Geochronology of impact structures - constraining syn- and post-impact processes using the 40Ar/39Ar and U-Pb techniques

    Författare :Maria Herrmann; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Impact structure; Dating impact events; 40Ar 39Ar dating; U-Pb dating; Siljan impact structure; Mien impact structure; Hummeln impact structure; Puchezh-Katunki impact structure;

    Sammanfattning : The discovery, at the beginning of the 20th century, that elements can transform into other elements, due to the spontaneous decay of an instable to a stable atomic nuclei, gave rise to a powerful source for age information in many fields of earth science. For impact structures, it is crucial to establish well-defined and precise ages in order to understand how impact events affect the Earth’s geo and biosphere and also with regard to possible future events that can have devastating effects on our civilization. 5. 25. Fissure-hosted mineral formation and metallogenesis in the Långban Fe-Mn-(Ba-As-Pb-Sb...) deposit, Bergslagen, Sweden

    Författare :Erik Jonsson; Ulf Hålenius; Tom Andersen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mineralogi; geologi; isotopgeokemi; mineraldiversitet; malmbildning; Palaeoproterozoikum; Bergslagen; Sverige; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The Långban deposit in the Bergslagen ore province is one of the most mineral-rich and complex localities on Earth. Yet, despite more than 100 years of research, much about its origin and evolution has remained unknown. LÄS MER
